I’m not an early adopter. My preference is to land on other lemmings when I finally leap off the cliff – I just like padding, I guess! So my first iPad was version 2 and my first iPhone was version 4. I will happily agree that mobile devices have come a long way since my 1996 Motorola StarTAC – but is mobile browsing really here?

It’s always the first question. “What will my website cost?” And there’s never an easy answer.
My standard reply is that there are 100 websites for 100 budgets. And even that doesn’t touch on the complexities of the right level of custom design, photography, videography, copywriting, SEO, functionality and all the other pieces that make up a website. That’s why my next comment is “Let’s talk about your business.”

My two-year-old son had a pretty good laugh at a domain name the other day. We were driving behind a contractor’s truck on the highway and observed that the contractor had gone through the effort and expense to have his website address painted onto the truck. Nice lettering job too. The chuckle? Well, the address was (contractor name).blogspot.com.
